Back in 2007, I received a call from super producer Jim Johnson, and he needed a photographer ASAP the next night.  Jim is known for producing music artists like Beyonce, Usher, Lil Wayne, Eminem and many others.  No matter what, my answer to Jim was definitely yes.  Little did anybody know, I had never shot studio photography using studio strobe lighting. I always thought I would take a class and learn studio photography over a period of time.  I had no choice but to learn on my first job.  I rented studio lighting from a dealer and drove to Miami to shoot. I set up the lighting and taught myself how to shoot within a half hour.  This was crazy and my camera settings where  crazy also.  After the shoot, I got home to view the pictures. I found out that the photos where in focus and lit nicely.  I learned a whole lot from that shoot.

Lens: 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6

Focal Length: 34mm

Exposure: 1/125 at f9.0 

ISO: 1600 (OUCH!)

Format: JPEG  (YIKES!)

Did my client like the photos?  He hired me for 2 more shoots and I shot his wedding in 2009 : )
